After almost 3 years having a “vacuum” of watching live concerts, now, offline concerts are back in business since mid-2022. This year, there will be local and international musicians who already have scheduled performances in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, a Korean girl group from South Korea, that is ITZY, successfully held a concert in Indonesia. The concert entitled “The 1st World Tour CHECKMATE” was held on February 4-5th, 2023 in Senayan Indoor Tennis Stadium, Jakarta, and all tickets were sold out!

Seeing the successful performance of ITZY also shows the revival of the tourism industry as well as creative economy sector in the post-pandemic era in Indonesia. Besides that, music concerts also have the ability to promote the country of Indonesia towards foreign tourists throughout the world.

Besides ITZY concerts, there are many local and international musicians scheduled to perform in Indonesia. So, who are they?

Let's take a look at the schedule of music concerts that will be held in Indonesia throughout 2023:

Westlife

Irish singing band, Westlife, will come back and greet their fans for two days in Indonesia. The concert titled, “Wild Dreams Tour Indonesia” will be held on February 9, 2023 at Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang, and also on February 11, 2023 in Gelora Bung Karno Madya Stadium, Jakarta.

Interestingly, the group consisting of four members, Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Nicky Byrne, and Kian Egan would also stop by in Bandung, West Java to perform in concert titled “Playlist Love Festival 2023” on February 12, 2023.

Music Market Festival

There will be a Music Market Festival on February 10-12, 2023 at Gambir Expo Kemayoran, Jakarta. This music festival will show a line of popular musicians and bands in seven stages along with different themes for each stage respectively. 

The festival will be enlivened by the best Indonesian bands and musicians such as, Padi Reborn, Kahitna, Maliq & D'Essentials, The Changcuters, Vierratale, The Panturas, GIGI, Tiara Andini, and many more.

Raisa Live in Concert

Two years delayed, “Raisa Live in Concert” will be held on February 25, 2023 at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK). It’s a shame to miss, because, as the first Indonesian female singer to perform at GBK, Raisa invites a number of collaborators and special guests to participate and be a part in this magnificent concert. 

NCT Dream “THE DREAM SHOW2: In A DREAM” 

NCT Dream is coming back to Indonesia to greet their fans in a concert titled “THE DREAM SHOW2: in A DREAM”. NCT Dream concert will be held at ICE BSD, Tangerang on March 4-6, 2023. For three consecutive days, NCT Dream will give a special performance for all their fans. Ticket sales start on February 4, 2023.

BLACKPINK World Tour

Consisting of four successful singers, BLACKPINK will come back to Indonesia to greet BLINK (a name for BLACKPINK fandom) in their series of world tour. The concert titled “BORN PINK: World Tour” will be held on March 11-12, 2023 at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta. Amazingly, all tickets were already sold out!

Arctic Monkeys

Rock band that originated from the United Kingdom, Arctic Monkeys also would be in Indonesia through a series of Asia Tour 2023. The band, which consists of four members, will perform in the Ancol International Beach City Stadium, Jakarta on March 18, 2023. 

Arctic Monkeys' first concert in Indonesia welcomed by their loyal fans. All the concert ticket sales are sold out in just two minutes!

Deep Purple

After more than 30 years of holding the first concert in Indonesia. Finally, Deep Purple will return to hold its second concert in Indonesia on March 10, 2023. Indonesia is the only country in Southeast Asia visited by Deep Purple. So, this music concert will be a good start to attract the attention of foreign tourists, especially Deep Purple fans in the Southeast Asia region.

TREASURE “TREASURE TOUR [HELLO] IN JAKARTA” 

Besides NCT and BLACKPINK, another K-Pop group, TREASURE will also perform in Indonesia. The concert titled “2023 Treasure Tour [HELLO] in Jakarta” will be held on March 18-19, 2023 at ICE BSD City, Tangerang. Even though the concert will still be held next month, certain categories of tickets were already sold out.

Synchronize Festival 2023 

One of the anticipated music festivals in Indonesia is the Synchronize Festival 2023. This national multi-genre music festival will feature hundreds of performances from Indonesia's best musicians. 

The Synchronize Festival usually brings local musicians from the 60s to the 2000s. So, it would be a good time to have nostalgic feelings by attending the festival and enjoying the music of the past decades. According to the schedule of music festivals in Indonesia in 2023, Synchronize Festival 2023 will be held on September 1-3, 2023.

Pestapora 2023 

Another music festival in Indonesia we can’t miss is Pestapora. It is a music festival which shows cross-genre music from Pop, Rock, and Dangdut. 

Held over three days from September 22nd to 24th, Pestapora 2023 will feature Indonesia's best musicians, such as: Ada Band, Ayu Ting Ting, Coldiac, HIVI!, Rizky Febian, Stand Here Alone, The Adams, Tipe-X, Yura Yunita and more!
